Job Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Industrial Shop Mechanic who enjoys mechanical work and wants to grow into a machinist role. The right candidate will be trained to operate manual mills, lathes, and drill presses.
Perfect for someone who has worked with tools, repaired equipment, or has general mechanical/industrial background.
What You Will Do:
- Tear down, repair, and assemble mechanical parts and components.
- Assist with rebuilding gearboxes and industrial equipment.
- Learn to operate manual machines (milling, drilling, boring, threading).
- Read basic blueprints and follow work orders.
- Measure, inspect, and verify part quality.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
What We’re Looking For:
- Mechanical aptitude - hands-on repair, shop, or industrial experience.
- Willingness to learn machining (full training provided).
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
- Reliable, detail‑oriented, and safety‑minded.
- Forklift experience is a plus (not required).
Work Environment:
Industrial shop setting with tools, machinery, dust, and normal shop conditions. PPE provided (steel‑toe shoes required).
