Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: DOE (Depending on Experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join a fast-paced machine shop in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of CNC lathe experience and be able to independently set up, program, and operate Y-axis CNC lathes using HAAS Next Gen controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC Y-axis lathes independently 
  • Read, understand, and adjust CNC programs as needed 
  • Monitor machine performance, feeds, and cutting parameters 
  • Perform threading operations with precision 
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools 
  • Ensure product quality and remove defects 
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor machine repairs 
  • Maintain production efficiency in a fast-paced environment 
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of CNC Lathe Machinist experience required 
  • Strong knowledge of HAAS Next Gen controls 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints 
  • Experience editing CNC programs 
  • Strong threading knowledge required 
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools 
  • Strong math skills (fractions and measurements) 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting as needed 
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus but not required
